What I offer
My aim is to offer guidance and support to doctoral students during the demanding phase of PhD studies. I also offer to help students strengthen essential skills in presentation and writing, alongside assistance with problem-solving in the lab, effective time management and navigating personal challenges, specially as an international student. My work does not involve direct patient contact and therefore clinical work is not possible.
I am happy to support the planning of research stays abroad- based on my own experience as a post-doc in Scotland. To foster exchange among students, I plan to include interactive group discussions, lab visits, and informal outings. Collaboration with other groups is also possible.
What I expect from the students

Time constraints for meetings
Frequency, duration, and time slots are flexible and will be adapted to the needs of mentees. Approximately, one meeting each month with a duration of 1.5 to 2 hours. One-to-one meetings are also possible.
First meeting can be held in the Seminar room of Anna Spiegel Research building and future meeting venues can be planned together with the group.
What else I would like to say
I am a basic scientist by training. After completing my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in India, I moved to Austria to pursue my PhD at the Medical University of Vienna. I then completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Scotland, UK, before returning to the Medical University of Vienna in 2024. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in translational cardiovascular research, with a focus on thrombosis and pulmonary hypertension. Having lived and worked in different countries, I have first-hand experience of both the opportunities and challenges that come with studying and working as an international student/researcher. I look forward to share these experiences and hope to support and encourage students as they navigate their own academic and professional journeys.
