What I offer
You will see how my clinical background as a medical geneticist is integrated with basic science, as a part of the mentoring program I offer:
- A respectful, supportive environment where honest communication are valued
- Support for navigating the PhD journey
- Insight into academic and non-academic career paths
- Guidance in your research
I’m open to interdisciplinary perspectives and collaboration.
What I expect from the students
- I value open and respectful communication
- Suggestion of topics of interest
- Willingness to engage with feedback and challenges
- I appreciate when students take initiative, and ask questions
Time constraints for meetings
A minimum of six meetings throughout the academic year (every 4-8 weeks (flexible as needed))
Location to be arranged, the preferred location is the department of Anatomy
I'm also open for check-ins when challenges arise between formal meetings
What else I would like to say
The PhD is a marathon, not a sprint, and I see mentoring as a partnership.
