Research Unit for Curriculum Development

Through addressing topics of international teaching and learning research, we want to contribute to the extension of knowledge on medical education and thus improve the education and training of physicians at the Medical University of Vienna in the future. Through our consulting activities, we support the transfer of research results on teaching and learning into daily teaching and learning practice.

The unit's current areas of responsibility and objectives are:

  • Promoting research in medical education by independently developing and conducting studies.
  • Contributing to literature in the field of medical education (publications in journals)
  • To link academic activities and thus promote excellence in medical education
  • Advice, support, and networking of staff members who would conduct research in medical education.
  • Supervision of doctoral candidates/diploma students

We organize scientific events with international participation and attend congresses at home and abroad.
